Bar Manager

  • Responsible for setting up the bar every day, ensuring it is clean and well-stocked
  • Organize volunteers and assign tasks as needed
  • Prepare the daily drink mix for the margarita machine
  • Ensure that all safety and sanitation standards are met
  • Monitor inventory levels and restock supplies as needed
  • Be available to assist with other camp duties as needed.

Camp Layout / Map Maker

  • Work closely with the registration team to assign campers to specific areas within the camp, taking into account any special needs or requests
  • Develop a detailed map of the camp that accurately reflects the layout and placement of all campsites, public areas, and emergency access routes
  • Ensure that all campsites are allocated appropriately, taking into account the camp’s safety guidelines and any relevant regulations
  • Work with other camp leads to ensure that all areas of the camp are used effectively and efficiently
  • Provide clear and concise communication to campers about their campsite location, as well as any relevant camp guidelines or rules
  • Maintain accurate records of campsite assignments and any changes that may occur during the event
  • Review and update the camp map as needed throughout the event to reflect any changes or additions to the camp layout
  • Assist with other camp duties as needed.

Camp Strike Lead

  • Responsible for leading the tear-down of the camp on Monday, ensuring that all camp infrastructure is properly removed and cleaned up
  • Coordinate with volunteers to dismantle the bar and common areas, taking care to ensure that all equipment and materials are properly stored and prepared for transportation
  • Work with other camp leads to ensure that all camp areas are cleaned and cleared of debris and trash
  • Ensure that all camp infrastructure is properly labeled and stored for transportation off the playa
  • Maintain a high level of safety and cleanliness during the strike process
  • Communicate regularly with camp management to report on progress and any issues that may arise
  • Assist with other camp duties as needed.

Camp Build Lead

  • Oversee the construction and setup of the camp, ensuring that it is built safely, efficiently, and to a high standard
  • Lead a team of volunteers in the construction of the camp, assigning tasks and managing the work of others
  • Work with the power guru to plan and layout the camp’s power supply
  • Ensure that all construction work is completed on time
  • Coordinate with other camp leads to ensure that all areas of the camp are completed according to schedule
  • Maintain a high level of safety and cleanliness on the campsite
  • Ensure that all tools and equipment are properly maintained and stored
  • Be available to assist with other camp duties as needed.

MOOP & Environment Lead

  • Responsible for ensuring that the camp is following all environmental and MOOP guidelines, including the Leave No Trace principles
  • Work with volunteers to perform daily camp clean-ups and trash disposal, ensuring that all camp areas are kept clean and tidy
  • Represent the camp in all playa restoration efforts, ensuring that all camp areas are properly restored to their original state after the event
  • Maintain a high level of awareness and vigilance with regard to environmental and MOOP concerns, taking proactive steps to prevent litter and other forms of pollution within the camp
  • Communicate regularly with camp leadership and other camp leads to provide updates on environmental and MOOP efforts, as well as any issues or concerns that may arise
  • Provide clear and concise guidance to campers on environmental and MOOP best practices.
  • Regularly review and update the camp’s environmental and MOOP plan to ensure that it is effective and meets the needs of campers and the camp as a whole
  • Assist with other camp duties as needed.

Communications/Newsletter Lead

  • Responsible for creating and sending the camp newsletter to registered campers leading up to the event and beyond
  • Generate the newsletter using Mailchimp, ensuring that all information is accurate, relevant, and engaging
  • Write and layout the newsletter, using a consistent and visually appealing design that reflects the camp’s identity and values
  • Work with other camp leads to gather relevant information and updates for inclusion in the newsletter
  • Maintain a clear and consistent communication plan with campers, ensuring that they are informed of all relevant camp news, updates, and deadlines
  • Respond to camper inquiries and requests for information in a timely and professional manner
  • Regularly review and update the camp’s communication strategy to ensure that it is effective and meets the needs of campers
  • Assist with other camp duties as needed.

Programming/Events Manager

  • Responsible for coordinating and managing camp activities throughout the event, including planning and executing events and programs
  • Work with other camp leads to develop a comprehensive schedule of events and activities that meet the needs and interests of campers, and that align with the camp’s identity and values
  • Provide clear and concise guidance to campers regarding event and program schedules, locations, and other relevant details
  • Maintain a high level of awareness and vigilance with regard to event and program logistics, including ensuring that all necessary equipment and supplies are available and that all events run smoothly and safely
  • Work with camp leadership and other camp leads to ensure that all events and programs align with the camp’s goals and values, and that they support a positive and engaging camp atmosphere
  • Communicate regularly with campers and other camp leads to provide updates on event and program schedules, as well as any issues or concerns that may arise
  • Regularly review and update the camp’s event and program plan to ensure that it is effective and meets the needs of campers and the camp as a whole
  • Assist with other camp duties as needed.

Registration Check-In Lead

  • Responsible for checking in campers as they arrive at camp, ensuring that they are properly registered and placed within the camp
  • Work with the web team to ensure that all campers have completed the registration process and have provided all necessary information
  • Provide clear and concise communication to campers regarding their campsite location, as well as any relevant camp guidelines or rules
  • Maintain accurate records of camper check-in, ensuring that all information is properly documented and stored
  • Work with other camp leads to ensure that all camp areas are properly allocated and that all campers are placed in suitable locations
  • Maintain a high level of customer service while managing the check-in process
  • Regularly review and update the camp’s check-in process to ensure that it is efficient and effective, and meets the needs of campers and the camp as a whole
  • Assist with other camp duties as needed.

RV Waste Clean Out Wrangler

  • Responsible for coordinating all waste water pump outs for RVs, ensuring that they are performed in a timely and efficient manner
  • Work with USS (United Site Services) to ensure that the camp receives the proper vouchers and that they are allocated to the correct people and RVs
  • Maintain accurate records of RV pump outs, ensuring that all information is properly documented and stored
  • Provide clear and concise communication to RV owners regarding their pump-out schedule, as well as any relevant guidelines or rules
  • Maintain a high level of safety and cleanliness during the pump-out process, adhering to all relevant regulations and guidelines
  • Regularly review and update the camp’s waste water management plan to ensure that it is effective and meets the needs of campers and the camp as a whole
  • Assist with other camp duties as needed.

Water Wrangler

  • Responsible for ensuring that the camp’s fresh water needs are met throughout the event
  • Work with United Site Services to ensure the delivery and maintenance of the camp water supply, including regularly monitoring water levels and quality
  • Provide clear and concise communication to campers regarding their water allotment and usage, as well as any relevant water conservation guidelines or rules
  • Maintain accurate records of water usage and supply, ensuring that all information is properly documented and stored
  • Work with other camp leads to ensure that all camp areas have access to clean and safe water, and that all water usage is properly monitored and managed
  • Maintain a high level of safety and cleanliness in all water-related areas, adhering to all relevant regulations and guidelines
  • Regularly review and update the camp’s water management plan to ensure that it is effective and meets the needs of campers and the camp as a whole
  • Assist with other camp duties as needed.
